I love this dog bowl place mat! My 50 lb dog used to make the biggest mess when he drank water, literally creating a huge puddle around his water bowls. Towels wouldn't help since the towels would just get wet and gross. I initially came across this product in Petsmart and thought it was worth a try. It works wonders! No more puddles. I know some people complained about the bowls sliding on the mat, I have never had this issue because my dogs bowls have a rubber ring around the bottom. The bowls are stainless steel with rubber on the outer part of the bottom which I bought at petsmart for pretty cheap (can't remember the exact price but they were prob around $10 each). I would def say that if you have a dog that creates puddles around the water bowl this is the perfect product for you/them and that in my experience it is the only product that works in preventing the puddle issue so it is def worth investing in the bowls with the rubber bottoms if you have the sliding issue. These mats are washable but I had one for 10 months and made the mistake of not washing it so when I picked it up there was mold on the bottom part. Of course this is completely preventable and is my mistake for not washing it. I thus decided since it was moldy it was better to just buy a new one for $10 than to try to clean it.

Ordered this to protect my hardwood floors from my dogs water spills. I have been using a folded towel but if it gets soaked the floors suffer. So based on the reviews I ordered this mat. It was just under Ten dollars. Arrived almost the next day. Really fast! The mat is 16 by 28, about the size of a standard pillow case cover. Placed the really thin mat down and put the dogs water on it. The dogs do what dogs do. Water on the mat, none on the floor. The back side is plastic. The top side is a thin wool or cotton blend.

This size easily fits two large bowls with room for dribbles. I have tied to dry the area when there have been significant spills but other than that I have only moved the mat to vaccume and it is showing no signs of mildew or anything of the sort. Ive been using if for teh better part of a year by now.

Works well under the food bowls to keep the floors clean. I have washed it several times. Laid out to dry. It has held up well.

This works amazing! I don't have messes in my kitchen floor anymore. I have an english bulldog and he's a mess when drinking water and this keeps his area clean, dry and slobber free. Couldn't ask for better.
