I had always thought that stainless steel would not oxidize, but the ProSelect 2-Quart Stainless Steel Classic Mat Pet Bowl quite clearly disproves that theory. I have purchased one of these little treasures and watched as it has flown in the face of science producing copious amounts of rust when left in contact with water (my mistake obviously comes from wanting to use this as a pet's water dish). Pure trash, please don't waste your money on it.

I have had it for 3 days, and it's rusting. 'Nuff said.

But since I have to keep typing to fulfill the review word count, this is obviously not stainless steel. It is cheap and flimsy, probably aluminum.
