This supplement has saved my cat's life. She was on knocking death's door when I took her in to the vet, she was nothing but bones. After being on this for a month for kidney failure all her levels are back in the normal range and she's put on all the weight she'd lost. The vet couldn't believe how quickly she recovered. Prescription food wasn't enough, this made all the difference. I could see some cats refusing to eat it or the prescription foods, I don't really have that trouble, as far as she's concerned she can't get enough, no she's not fat skinny little thing all her life.

I got some small pyrex bowls with lids, perfect size for her to eat from, now instead of mixing it with her wet food twice a day I do it once at night and in the morning just grab a bowl and set it down. If you do this don't prepare more than 2-3 days in advance, sits any longer than that and she refuses to eat it, your mileage may vary tho. It's convenient for someone on the go or great for short trips to make it easier on the pet sitter.

Never give up on your Kitty. There are many excellent products out there, such as this one, to aid in helping restore health. I also have the Renal Care in a liquid form of this which I am using. I just wanted this (Renal Advanced Powder Kidney Support)to avoid adding extra moisture to the "MommyNommy Smoothie" that I give my Kitty 3 times a day. I will continue using the Renal Care liquid when administering Holistic herbs and other medications. I would like to add that we are also having acupuncture done on our Kitty at this time with amazing results! My 16 yr old cat wouldn't eat renal vet food and lost a lot of weight. I tried a kidney formula designed for a raw diet but he often rejected that food too. His vet said his values were worse and needed fluids. I found out about this product and first combined it with slippery elm slurry (for nausea) and a tsp. no salt tuna water morning and night. His appetite improved almost immediately and he's gained weight. He will eat it mixed with food as well so it must not have a strong odor. I'll see how his values are at his next vet appt., but I'm pleased to see him happy to see meals and gaining weight.

My cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease several months ago. She was losing weight, and after blood tests the vet told me to give her sub q fluids every other day. I tried unsuccessfully to give her fluids and was getting very frustrated. The vet told me she could administer the fluids which would cost $20 each time. That's at least $60 a week! Then she was telling me about phosphorous binders that would cost $36 a month. I'm retired, so this was getting overwhelming. I started to do research on treatments for CKD, and came upon Renal Advanced. I was impressed with the reviews, noting that vets were recommending it and that cats health were improving with use. It costs about one third the price of azodyl and is easier to administer (powder as opposed to capsule). I've been adding Renal Advanced to my cat's food for about a month now, and I can see a difference. She has a big appetite, is happily bouncing around and appears to have gained a little weight. I also bought a water fountain, and she's drinking up a storm! I'll continue using Renal Advanced, and am grateful to have found this product.
