My dog keep feverishinly scratching and biting herself bloody. She didn't have fleas, so what could it be? Hill's Science Diet representative at Petco recommended Sensitive Skin formula food. We were already feeding her good petstore food...not supermarket food which is not nutricious. We changed to the Science Diet, and within a couple weeks she stopped scratching and hurting herself. That was a decade ago, and she has been fine ever since. We did have her off the product for a few weeks, and she went right back to scratching. A friend has a dog with bad skin. He pays outrageous amounts for his prescription dog food (he's lucky his dog is small and doesn't eat much). Science Diet worked perfectly for my dog at a fraction of the price. Oh and by the way, when we had the petfood scare a few years ago and dogfood and catfood was recalled Science Diet was not one of the tainted brands (not made in China). I was surprised at how many premium brands were recalled during that time, but Science Diet was clean and safe (both canned and dry).

I have a 7 year old shepard mix. For the past couple years he has had dry, flaky skin. He scratches constantly. I tried moisturizing shampoo, giving him oil/grease in his food (just made his tummy upset he also has a sensitive stomach) and finally had a "duh" moment one day in Petco when I saw this product.

Less than a month later, his skin was much more healthy. Scratching and flakiness has almost disappeared.

I have 2 pitbulls both with very dry flaky skin. I started using this dog food 2 months ago and I have seen an improvement in their dryness. As the house gets dryer in the winter with the added heat I also started added some olive oil in with their food which has also been working great on top of this food.

I have a dog that is part irish wolfhound. She is my best friend. Not thinking about our Texas weather (the a/c and heater can be turned on in a 24 hour period) her hair is coarse and thick. When she runs around in the woods and comes in contact with our poison ivy, sumac, etc. she almost scratches off all her hair. The vet recommended I try this food and it has made a difference. My best friend is not miserable anymore.

I started buying this food a couple of years ago for my Husky because he had very dry skin and to make it worse, we live in a very dry environment. Within a week it made a huge improvement. His coat and skin look great. He always gets compliments on his beautiful coat when I take him out for walks. When I brush him now he doesn't have any dry flakes of skin coming off. I am very impressed at how well this stuff works.
