My dogs all tested high for their cholesterol & they were getting pudgy, so I decided to switch to a lower fat food. I used another expensive name brand for a while that gave them very bad/smelly gas, but bought this one night when I ran out of their other food. I was pleased because they had no more gas! And it is a great quality food--my dogs loved it and they are losing weight! Yay! Unfortunately, the price drastically went up from when I initially purchased it on Amazon, so I might be going to a store from now on where I can use a coupon. I wish it was on the Subscribe & Save program!

I have nothing but compliments about Blue Buffalo Longevity, since I've been feeding it to my adult Dalmatian for the past 18 months. After doing research about the ingredients (primarily meat proteins, fruits and veggies and anti-oxidant bits), I decided to try it (after weaning her from her other dry food)....I've seen nothing but positive results! She LOVES it (but then Dalmatians love anything that resembles food), her coat is now amazing! It was good before starting Longevity, but now is so thick and almost seems longer, she even has a hairy belly now! She is not that active, not burning a lot of calories, but she's been able to maintain her weight since starting this food. Sorry for my english but i m french and mooved here a year ago.I have a boxer mix and a papillon. I wanted the best for them and bought Blue Buffalo Longevity. They loose their hairs like crazy, the hair is " greasy " they lost alot of weight. I m really not happy about the food. They eat it but i can see that it takes them a longer time to finish it.
I m desapointed, for the price and all the publicity about that brand of food, i switch back to their old brand and they are doing so much better !
