the dog bowls are very durable, I have a dog that likes to chew up bowls and she cant chew it up and it doesnt tip over. the only thing wrong with it is that it is pretty small, if you have medium size dog or bigger dont get this dishBest Deals for Ethical 16-Ounce No-Tip Stainless Dish
Our local animal shelter uses these exclusively and often requests them as donations. Who would know more than an animal shelter about sturdy, non tipping, easily cleaned dog dishes? I sent them five.Honest reviews on Ethical 16-Ounce No-Tip Stainless Dish
I just acquired 2 kittens and wanted stainless steel bowls for their food. I use this bowl for their wet food and it is perfect (16 oz). It is very easy to clean and just looks nicer than plastic or ceramic. I only gave it 4 stars as it is a bit "thin" but the price is good so I guess that evens things out. I think the smaller size is great for cats or a small dog.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Ethical 16-Ounce No-Tip Stainless Dish
This bowl is indeed a non-spill. My yellow Labrador retriever had taken to carrying his old bowl around, Snoopy style. When I'd first fill it, he'd look at it, eat a mouthful or less, then intentionally tip it over and carry the bowl around for a while, spreading food far and wide in the process. It was funny the first 3 times. So I bought this bowl. End of that problem!
It only took him about a week to tear off the rubber ring around the base. The rubber is there primarily to keep the bowl from flying around the eating area reminiscent of a food-filled hockey puck. Conveniently, that's not a problem I have with my dog, so I can deal without the rubber ring. If your dog plays hockey with his bowl, you'll want to keep looking. But if you're just trying to prevent easy tipping over, this bowl is perfect.
I definitely prefer metal bowls for my dog. They are so much easier to clean. So for me, this bowl is nearly perfect. Now, if I could just find one similar to my old ones, with rubber glued onto the bottom, but in this shape so he can't tip it over.
