OK, nice try, but the front corners of the lid have no tension on them when the latch is closed and as a result do not form an airtight seal. You may as well leave the food in the bag with the top folded over. I'm guessing those who gave it positive reviews have not exposed their container to insects. If they had, their opinion would be different. At the end of the day, this doesn't solve the problem of keeping air, humidity, and insects out of our pets food.

It maybe small but it does a great job in storing a large bag of dog food....keeps it fresh longer and I can wheel it around where ever I want.....glad I got this little gem.
