I have never written a review on Amazon before, though I swear half my paycheck is devoted to them. After trying Hi=Tek, I had to write a review. I have a Golden with a known grain allergy and a Bernese with a recently discovered grain allergy. I had been feeding my Golden, Nature's Balance. He's a Golden...he eats anything. The Bernese would have nothing to do with NB. After the reading the reviews on Hi-Tek, I thought I would give it a try. Both dogs love this food! They race to their food bowls and eat every nugget. I would highly recommend.

I've always given my dog grain-free dry food, tried many brands but I've gotta say I'm very pleased with Hi-Tek Naturals. My lab enjoys eating it, doesn't have any negative reaction to it, and her poop is nice and firm. The 30lbs bag is very affordable considering it's grain-free. It also contains a good amount of proteins and vitamins; and it's received many good reviews (and starts) from other dog food websites. I recommend it to those seeking another grain-free choice or wanting to try grain-free for the first time.

This is the best dog food we've ever used, and we've used some that are more expensive. We also had them on a raw food diet for about a year and were giving probiotics at that time. They love this and they don't fart anymore! I still give them the occasional raw egg for a treat. They're in great health. Also, better digestion means less dog turds to clean up in the yard.

I have been feeding my three German shepherd dogs raw meat for the past four years. My dogs are healthy and fit because they run at least five miles a day and also go swimming fairly often.

It's a bit of a hassle feeding raw, getting the balance right, having to keep a "dog meat" freezer, etc. Also, I'm beginning to wonder how safe it is to feed them the meat of animals that have been injected with antibiotics, hormones, etc. So I was motivated to change their diet. You might imagine that it would be difficult to get dogs who are accustomed to eating raw meat to change to dry food, but there was no hesitation in my shepherds' acceptance of this food. (I add water to the kibble so that they don't inhale the pieces.)

My dogs are each about 95-97 pounds (and they aren't one bit fat!), which means they need to be fed about 3.5 cups of this dry food a day. I have been buying the 30-pound bags. To find out how far a bag would stretch, I measured out 3.5 cups of the food and weighed it. It came to 0.914 pounds for 3.5 cups. So a 30-pound bag will last for about 32 meals. I will need to buy three 30-pound bags a month, which turns out to be not a bad price, to feed three 96-pound German shepherd dogs for a month.

I'm impressed with the list of ingredients on the bag, as well, so I'm not as concerned about my dogs getting all the nutrients they need to be optimally healthy as I was when they were eating solely raw meat.

After battling some intense food allergies with my Great Pyrenees, I decided to go grain-free specifically with lamb and sweet potato hoping for high-fat content. Her weight is at a steady incline and her skin and fur are becoming healthier, and starting to grow back in. She doesn't poo as often as she did on generic foods, and her poos are drier and a lot less stinky.

Would recommend and will purchase again.
