I expected it to be an easy task finding a pet travel organizer. However, they were few and far between. Most searches brought up thousands of pet carriers. I found a few organizers, but most were small and useless. When I found this one I thought it was perfect, although a bit pricey. I kept searching for one that was a little less expensive so I could buy several for my dog-loving family. I couldn't find anything as roomy and useful as the Solvit HomeAway Pet Travel Organizer, so ordered one for my son and his dogs. It's quite nice and if they ever go on sale I plan to buy 2 more. ($50.00 is more than I spend on my own travel bags.)

After looking at several products online I finally settled on the Solvit product. Three things that were appealing to me: 1) functional, 2) quality and 3) price.
My wife and I have a West Highland Terrier ("Westie") that we travel with 2-3 times a month. All of our family is over 100 miles away so many of our weekend trips are overnight. This kit allows us to take food (up to 10 days), water, toys, treats, poop bags, etc. Everything is very organized and if we decide to drop him off with family/friends, it has everything you need. Plus, the collapsible bowls are also a big hit!
If you are looking for a travel kit for 1-10 days on the road I would highly recommend this product!!!

Arrived on time, love it. sturdy bag. the bottle holds more than enough water. we always bring this when we go to the dog park. collapsible bowls are of good quality and easy to clean. haven't tried the food bag yet but i know it will come in handy when we travel with our dog. lots of pockets, we stuffed his towel and toys when he went for a swim at the dog park lake, and the poopy bag dispenser is also handy. has an extra zippered section in front , i put my phone there and other stuff. satisfied!

This travel bag is perfect for our needs and our puppy's needs. We have a second home that we travel to a few times a month. We recently rescued a puppy with the intention of bringing him with us when we travel. I needed something that would hold his essential items in the most compact way. This bag is perfect. The food container holds enough food for a long weekend. If we were to go away any longer, I would probably just buy a small bag of food to bring with us. It holds about 10 cups. Our dog is a puppy, so he is eating about 2 cups per day. The water bottle is perfect for the roadin case he is thirsty and needs a drink. The bowls fold up nicely inside the bag. We were able to bring his favorite toys, including a Kong, bone, and big stuffed animal. We were even able to fit the full size bottle of cleaner (the puppy is still potty training) in the bag. there was plenty of room left if needed. The front pockets were great for an extra roll of potty bags and some medication that he is taking right now. I was trying to make my own bag with the needed items for food, water, and extra storage. Once i pieced a bag and all of the other items together, the cost was above the $50 I spent for this bag which already included everything. If you take road trips and travel with your dogthis is a great purchase. The bag itself does not take up much space.

The bag is fine, but the two bowls that come with the kit have such a strong chemical smell we threw them away. We tried washing them, but the strong smell would not go away.
