I would recommend this food simply because my dogs love it, but more than that, it is made in the USA. Price is a little higher than what I had been paying, but it's worth it to me to feel peace about what my dogs eat. It is made from the finest ingredients like chicken and that got my attention. I had never heard about it before, but when I searched for food made in the USA, it popped up. I'm glad it did. I was feeding another brand and it was made overseas. They recalled it and sent me a little check for a refund. Money cannot replace my dogs. I will only feed them USA made food as long as I can afford it.

My chihuahua LOVES this food. We just switched from Prairie---another good brand. I like that the kibble is smaller and that it is designed for toy breeds. She can be sensitive if a food is too rich, but we have had no belly problems whatsoever. She will eat this plain, but I often put a teaspoon of spots stew in with it to give her some variety. It would be nice if halo made this in the wild salmon, as the pup loves fish, but until then we are fine mixing in a spoonful of the salmon stew. My two 9 pound chihuahuas love this food. One of them is highly sensitive to other brands I have tried, but she is fine with this food. i enjoy knowing its all organic, USA made and supports Ellen as well.ive been ordering from Amazon for over a year, and its finally on subscribe and save! hoorah!!

I like that it's a natural dog food. No glycerin or other weird sketchy crap. It's natural and that's why I chose it. I find it to be ridiculously expensive but I bought it bc I care about my dogs and the safety of their food.The dogs however (mini daschunds) don't seem to like it much. With that said they are picky eaters. I guess the verdict is still out on this one.
