I own 3 cats and one little dog and over the years have tried many foods. When I started out I had very little knowledge of what makes a good food. After much research and experimentation, this food has been a stable product for all my pets. My cats never tire of the different flavors and after trying dozens and dozens of different high quality foods for our little dog, we finally were able to stabilize him on the NVI LI lamb and duck. The Instinct line is especially useful because it is the same formula for both cats and dogs. (Don't write a comment questioning or debating this until you have contacted the company and found the same information to be true.) All my fur babies get only canned food and the duck along with the rabbit, pork, salmon, venison and limited ingredient lamb and duck are enjoyed by them each week in their rotation. For us, this food has been a God-send.

I switched my 2 cats (10yrs & 5yrs) over to this food in May and noticed immediate results!

We had always fed the middle of the road kibble but as our family moved towards healthier eating we decided to research whether our animals should be eating healthier as well. After reading lots of books, I discovered that cats are obligate carnivores and do better when fed a moist or canned diet. We settled on this brand after trying many similar brand because this is the one that both cats will eat. We also purchased their frozen raw food locally but only the older cat would eat it. Both of them have much more energy than they used to, their poop no longer stinks up the house (bonus: they poop less because all the food is getting digested instead of simply "passing through"), and my formerly very timid older cat now comes out and socializes.

With that history, I immediately placed an order for the Instinct canned dog food when we bought our Queensland Heeler puppy at the end of June. She loves it and is doing exceedingly well. Plus we've noticed the same digestive benefits with her. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend both this product and the canned cat food.

The picture shows a large can, but all you get is small cat food sized cans. The dogs haven't tried it yet, but instead of splitting a can I'll now have to give each dog a can of their own. Disappointing.

Description says 5.5oz. Pic shows 13 oz can. Your delivery is 5.5oz. Beware! Otherwise food is good. My dog likes it a lot.

was shopping for a friend's small dog who must have a limited diet. came across this product in my shopping. i needed to know if this was gluten free, so i keyed the company name in an internet search only to find this company has had RECALLS.
