After six years of feeding my Yellow Lab regular dog food with no problems, he started having severe diarrhea. The Veterinarian explained that dog food companies can add ingredients & fillers to their food at any time to keep costs down and some of those ingredients can make the dog sick, which is likely what happened. She recommended a prescription dog food (which is something I'd never heard of). This was the brand she carried. After only ONE feeding, the diarrhea stopped. As long as he eats nothing else, he never gets sick. My only complaint is the ridiculous price for this product. The cheapest I've ever found it is a 25-lb. bag for $85.00 from "Petflow.com." At a Vet's office, it's more like $120.00. That's more than double the price of conventional dog food.

My two mini dachshunds couldn't be more different diet-wise even though they are litter mates. Barney has food allergies, and Bailey cansimply eat anything with no apparent ill effects. RC has been the answer for me. Both love it, and both have no reactions whatsoever. The hypoallergenic potato and venison did the trick, and even though it costs more, it is worth it to not have to go to the vet due to digestion or skin problems. Excellent food!

If I knew what pound size bag this is, I might purchase. Hard to comparison shop without knowing size of product.

The ad was very misleading. The ad did not mention the size of the bag of dog food. For the price they charged, I should have gotten at least a 20 30 lb bag. Felt they ripped me off.
