My dog Bugsy develop kidney problems and was told by my Vet, he would have to eat special dog food. I find after being on it for about 2 weeksBugsy lost too much weight and had to mixed with his regular food. He did not like the taste.

My dog, a 7 1/2 year old german shepherd mix was recently diagnosed with kidney problems. The vet told me he needed to go on a special diet and recommeded either this or KD Science Diet. A friend had a dog with kidney issues and tried the KD stuff but the dog didn't like it at all so I tried the Purina and my dog likes it. Of course, he'll eat almost anything :)
I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive.

My dog is on a special diet since he had surgery for kidney stones, he eats this fine although he would prefer to eat table scraps. that's just not going to happen

My daughter's dog just love this dog food. We have to becareful, because she just wants more and more and gaining weight. Our dog is very tiny and so used to the dog food we had to buy from the vet and soo very expensive, and she was totally bored of it. We decided to try out the Kidney function food. Love it!!!

Our Maggie tired of the Hills KD dry rather quickly. We switched to the Purina NF and she took to liking it right from the get go. We mix it with the canned. The other day I slipped some of the Hills KD in with the Purina NF and when she was finished, all the Hills KD was left!
