the sticker on the front claims that it holds only 25lbs but i suspected that it would hold more so i bought it and a new 30lb bag of Taste of the Wild and it took the whole thing. i was glad because the 50lb version was just too big. so just FYI, it will hold 30 lbs of dog food.

This is great, it holds ten pounds ( no more), has seal on lid and closes with a snap. Would order again. Delivery was great also.

I have had this container for a few years now and it has been fine...until the other night. I went to get some food out and it was covered in small ants. Sure enough, inside there were thousands all over the brand new bag of food I had put in there. So be warned, though it says it is air-tight and will keep bugs out, this doesn't seem to be the case. Do a water test of filling the container with water and turning it upside-down. you'll see that it is definitely not air-tight.

This container is great quality, but it DOES NOT have a shipping weight of 30 lbs so with the shipping costing as much as the container itself is a rip off. Target stores have the same container for much cheaper.

I kept a full 6 pound bag of food along with a 4-5 pound bag in the container. They fit just fine and the cats still devour their dry food.
